Date of creation : Southern Angels started in July 2004.
Our mission is to be the first and main instance of angel investment in Chile, providing a « matching » service between investors and early stage companies. .
We seek to strength the inmature early stage venture capital industry by achieving many and good invests to be considered « the model» for the Chilean and Latinamerican angel investors industry.

As venture capitalists are moving up the ladder to higher amounts, business angels are increasingly active in the very early stage of companies, and are required to invest in several rounds of financing for the same company as there is a lack of follow-on investment. This new equity gap concerns amounts from 1 million to 3 million €, depending on the country. |
